There are 2 options for collecting store payments: Payment collected by Pic-Time or Payment collected by the Photographer.
When you create a Pic-Time account, store payments are by default collected by Pic-Time. In this case we take care of everything relating to payments and sales tax. This option requires less effort on your part.
PAYMENT COLLECTED BY PIC-TIME (DEFAULT)
When this option is selected, Pic-Time will take care of everything relating to payments and sales tax: payments are accepted through Pic-Time, You (the Photographer) get your cut of the sale once every two weeks (when the total profit amount is $20 or above) and all sales tax is paid by Pic-Time (limited to US based photographers). Your client’s credit card statements will show Pic-Time as the company and all order confirmations will be sent via email from Pic-Time.
PAYMENT IS COLLECTED BY THE PHOTOGRAPHER
(not available on the Free Plan)
When this option is selected, all store payments are accepted directly by you. The cost of all products and shipping from each sale will automatically be charged to your credit card on file, or after the order is approved, and you will also be responsible for paying all sales tax. The mail order confirmations will be emailed from you. The benefit of collecting the payments is there is no Pic-Time sales commission and you will receive the entire payment from your client immediately via PayPal once the order is completed.
You MUST choose to collect payments in the following cases:
1. Using a currency other than USD
2. Selling self-fulfill and custom products
3. If you prefer to collect payments yourself and not pay the sales commission
Once you choose to collect the payments, you can connect your PayPal, Stripe, and Square accounts, or accept Offline payments:
