Dear Friends,
Our community of photographers is going through a hard time due to the coronavirus. We know that many of you are affected financially by the situation, so we’ve decided to make adjustments, bearing in mind that this is not going to be short term. During these uncertain times, we want to do as much as we can to adjust to this new situation, within the limits of what our company can sustain. We are a small independent company relying solely on subscriptions for income, with no external funding.
We are applying a payment change to all of our users across the board and our team is a part of this effort, so yes, we are braving this together.
SUBSCRIPTION Slowdown
We know the biggest impact we can have is by slowing down the payment plans, so we’ve decided to take action and make changes to our payment structure for the time being.
Regarding your plan payment, for every one payment you will get 1.5 times your normal plan. That means:
For Monthly Plans: you will be charged every 1.5 months, and not every month.
For Yearly Plans: yearly payment will credit you for a year and a half.
These new plans will begin with your next payment.
Salary Cut
Our team stands with you and we are all taking a pay cut to be able to deal with this loss of income. We thank each and every one of our employees for understanding the need and for willing to be part of this effort.
Clients and Backup
Together with Sam Hurd, we’ve created an app called Existing Gallery Backup. With this app, you can ask your clients to pay to keeping their gallery online and backed up. This is a yearly hosting subscription plan for your clients. We will have all the details on Thursday.
Cost Saving Mode
We are also making some technical adjustments to help with this situation. Archiving high-res photos will now be done after 7 months and not after a year like it is now.
