This Article in a Nutshell

This article introduces the Next-Gen Album Designer in Pic-Time 2.0, from AI-powered wedding album creation based on client preferences, to the redesigned album editor. Discover how photographers can deliver a faster, more engaging album creation and increase album sales with minimal effort.

Meet the Automatic Album Designer

At the center of the new experience is the Automatic Album Designer, a smart wedding album creator that blends AI intelligence with clients’ personal preferences to generate polished albums in seconds.
Clients go through four quick steps: choosing who the album is for, selecting the people they want to see in the album, picking their must-have photos, and setting album composition.
The automatic Designer then generates a story-driven album draft, selecting and arranging images based on content, color, and narrative flow. This means that each client gets an album that tells their own story and reflects their own priorities, be it the bride and groom or a vendor.

Note: The Automatic Album Designer is available only on wedding galleries with 250+ photos, for Advanced plan users with AI enabled.

Three panels: first asks Who is this album for? with family photos; second lets you use Pic-Time’s Next-Gen Album Designer to select who to include; third lets you set album style with layout options and a slider.

Design Intelligence Built-In

The new Album Designer draws on real design patterns and user behavior to build a unique, story-driven draft every time. We’ve distilled the finest values of album design so your clients always start with a fully designed draft that feels intentional. This reduces design time dramatically, helping clients overcome their decision-fatigue and increasing purchase likelihood.

The album draft is then ready to refine in the new Album Editor, or order directly through the Pic-Time print shop for seamless album printing.

A Next-Gen selection interface displays 16 circular profile photos, with two selected, letting users choose people for inclusion in a Pic-Time album. The text prompts users to select people they don’t want to leave out.

New Album Editor, New Possibilities

Whether directly from the Shop or following the automatically generated draft, clients can customize their album using the new Album Editor. Our redesigned editor includes powerful new tools that make editing intuitive – even for those with no design experience.

A new photo panel allows easy browsing of gallery images and collections, complete with all available AI search options, while a drag-and-drop interface makes it effortless to add photos or move spreads. Clients can make simple cropping adjustments to ensure every photo fits perfectly.

Clients can explore flexible layout options based on the number of images on each spread, and use the Mirror feature to instantly flip layouts for balanced designs. The editor keeps the design process fast and enjoyable while giving clients the flexibility to personalize their album exactly the way they want.

One of the biggest advantages of the new album designer is how seamlessly it fits into the new gallery and shop experience.

Clients can move directly from browsing their gallery to designing their album, and use their existing favorite images or Collections as a starting point for the album.

Designing and Ordering Albums From Any Device

Pic-Time 2.0 also introduces a completely rebuilt mobile album experience. For the first time, clients can create and customize a complete album directly from their phone. The new album editor is fully responsive, offering the same intuitive design experience available on desktop, optimized for mobile interaction. Whether clients are reviewing their gallery on the couch or commuting with their phone, they can design and order albums without compromising on quality.

For photographers, this frictionless flow opens the door to more passive income. With clients able to create and complete albums on their own, you’ll see more albums completed, fewer abandoned drafts, and more purchases happening without additional effort on your end.
