Pic-Time was founded to help photographers showcase and sell their work, whether it’s for clients or for their art. But there’s more than that. We strive to be active and thoughtful with the way we conduct ourselves as a business, as a workplace, and in the way we support causes (organizations and initiatives) that reflect our values.
Creating inclusive spaces of representation, visibility, & education, and empowering our community.
We are committed to using our resources to create safe spaces, inclusive of all photographers, and to actively fight all forms of discrimination, as well as socioeconomic & artistic exclusion.
Expanding our current definition of a Pic-Time Ambassador and broadening our outreach beyond our current bubble.
Creating a refreshed visual identity to include a variety of diverse images to make everyone feel visible and welcome.
Educating ourselves on how to actively resist racism. We recognize that this work needs to first and foremost be directed toward ourselves, and that combating racism is a life-long commitment of labor that cannot be tackled in a single series of social media posts.
Working together with workshop communities to create opportunities for photographers from underprivileged or marginalized communities.
In our quest to improve our products, ourselves and our surroundings, we make sure to dedicate some of our resources to different causes. We began in Israel, Pic-Time’s founding location and current home-base, but as we spread internationally, our search broadened and we continued to seek additional causes. The two main criteria for us are:
We give to causes we can identify with in helping to promote health and education in struggling communities.
We give to organizations/people that we trust, knowing our money is being used for the declared purposes.
So far we have focused on health and education issues, but with recent global events into account, we have decided to expand our support into matters of equality, anti-racism and anti-discrimination.
We are striving to be constantly aware of our global community, and will continue to search for meaningful contributions to be a part of.
