A Visit with Christi
Words by Nirit Gur-Karby, Co-Founder of Pic-Time
You can tell a lot about people by their homes and dwellings. Looking back, Christi’s home was all very Woven. I visited her on a sunny August day and before I noticed, almost 3 hours had passed.
Christi’s home is an island of slow, deliberate and intimate life. Everything that was placed had an intention and care, whether it was an object placed on the table or a plate full of fruit.
With a soft tone, yet full of passion and clarity, Christi shared with me her vision as a photographer from her intention and process to the things she’s aiming to achieve in her photos.
After spending a wonderful afternoon with Christi (and Jeremy) I have realized what I felt while flipping through their Magazine - Woven gathers creators and thinkers of all kinds, and through their stories they are getting us toward a more inclusive and thoughtful world.
Thank you for seeing the human talent created by makers and thinkers, and bringing all this beauty through your bright perspective.
